What Participants Are Saying . . .

This was the most thorough training I have ever received with so much additional documentation and support from Earth Force. It was so amazing!

I have recommended this training and process to anyone who will listen! I cannot wait to use Environmental Action Civics in my programs.

Excellent scheduling! Excellent facilitators! Please offer more training!

I enjoy being able to join event virtually as it makes it easier to participate. It was also great to meet and hear stories from others that are teaching around the country rather than just in my local area.

So appreciative of the wholesome support of this training and the Earth Force team. I am eager to put Environmental Action Civics into practice!

FAQs

When is the workshop?

There are four virtual sessions, plus pre-work in EAC 101:

  • EAC 101 - new asynchronous pre-course!
  • Oct 21 1-2pm ET
  • Oct 23 1-3pm ET
  • Oct 28 1-3pm ET
  • Oct 30 1-2:30pm ET

Who should attend?

Do you provide professional development to adults in youth engagement, environmental education, or related fields? Interested in a process that leads to student-led environmental civic action? This is for you.

What's the structure?

The Workshop is virtual, with a combination of synchronous and asynchronous learning and lots of discussion. We've been working virtually since 2010 - and we've developed a sense of how to build community even through screens! One participant said "Earth Force staff showed off some stellar virtual facilitation techniques that as a fellow facilitator I will definitely be putting into action!"

Is funding available?

Yes! This work - changing how we teach this field - takes time, money, and support. We'll help you with all three. $500 stipends are available, thanks to our partnership with ee360+.

Is this another boring event?

Little known fact: we're allergic to boring professional development here at Earth Force. We think we've cracked the code into hosting a collaborative, invigorating, and actually useful virtual event. As one participant put it, "This workshop was well organized and informative. I was given so many ideas, information, and helpful tips that I cannot wait to implement into my curriculum."
