Spring Cohort: Caring for Our Watersheds Student Competition Info Session
December 12 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Welcome spring cohort! There is still time to implement Caring for Our Watersheds in your classroom. Let’s discuss a shortened timeline for those of you just jumping in or those who have new spring classes you are about to start teaching. Join us for a quick overview of Caring for Our Watersheds, where classroom groups of ten or more investigate their community and implement projects to answer the question, “What can you do to improve your watershed”? Students receive implementation funding and can compete for up to $1,000 in prize money! MS and HS educators and partners from the Mid-Atlantic Region of the US are welcome to attend to learn more about this opportunity! You can do this in any subject matter class but science, social studies, special classes like art and library, gifted classrooms, eco-clubs, and STEAM classes align best.
