Caring for Our Watersheds is an environmental educational competition, sponsored in part by international agriculture company Nutrien, that encourages creativity and rewards students for the solutions they identify.
The program highlights the students who submit the most creative, thought-provoking, and innovative ideas and provides funding that supports putting their ideas into action. Earth Force students in Chesapeake Bay present their ideas at an annual Youth Summit to compete for implementation funding and community mentorship to turn their ideas into realistic solutions.
In northern Colorado, Earth Force is working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to expand the High Water Mark Initiative to increase public awareness of flood risk and encourage students to develop action projects that decrease flood risk. Learn more here!
The Rocky Mountain Environmental Challenge prepares educators, motivates classes, and rewards schools for developing ideas that decrease flood risk in their community.
