EEAI Offers Earth Force Training in Illinois

We are excited to join EEAI and Field Museum to offer Earth Force Curriculum training to educators in Illinois. The training will prepare educators to use Earth Force’s award-winning  project-based learning curriculum to engage young people as active citizens who improve the environment and their communities now and in the future.
The training will prepare you to combine environmental education with the civic experiences that are essential element of education about the environment. To ensure that young people have this experience Earth Force helps teachers develop young people with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to solve tough environmental problems. This training will give you all the background, curriculum understanding and implementation help needed to fully utilize the Earth Force program in your classroom, non-formal facility or after-school program.
Colleen, McVeigh, from The Field Museum, will facilitate this workshop. Participants will receive full training, curriculum materials, follow-up implementation assistance and refreshments. Participants should bring a bag-lunch.
Additionally, Ben Whitehouse from SkyDay will be providing participants with an introduction to SkyDay, their current projects and upcoming art/science/sky curriculum.
