It feels good to know that we’re not in this fight against our changing climate alone. The Green Schools National Network (GSNN) recently reached out, wondering if we would be willing to author a piece about the Caring for Our Watersheds competition, a program we support in Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. They saw immense value in the program’s ability to engage students in the understanding, protection, and improvement of their local watershed.
GSNN works to foster healthy, sustainable K-12 schools across the United States. And they are invested in making young people a key part of their strategy. Which means they’re invested in what we are doing, and so many other organizations like us, that want young people to be connected to, and drivers of, environmental change. Big thanks to them for being willing to share the work we’re doing, and the work of so many others. If you don’t already get their newsletter, this month’s featured four stories from contributing organizations.
