Trees in Our Watershed--Wednesday March 24, 2010
Join Asbury Woods, PA, Lake Erie Watershed Association and Earth Force to improve tree cover in our watershed. Address concepts such as urban forestry, storm water management, tree characteristics and care. Receive resources to facilitate hands-on activities and actions with your students.
Elementary and Middle School Teachers consider participating in a tree planting campaign this spring, trees will be provided.
Time: 4:30 – 8:00 pm

Messages on the Mon: Learning into Action---Saturday, April 24, 2010
Learn about watersheds and non-point source pollution, the leading threat to our nation’s waterways. We’ll take that knowledge and show you how to get your students involved in solving the problem through storm drain stenciling. We’ll have fun and get a chance to stencil storm drains around the South Side neighborhood in Pittsburgh

Project Food, Land and People--Saturday, May 1, 2010
The Project Food, Land & People six hour workshop introduces a curriculum focused on promoting an understanding of the interrelationships among agriculture, the environment and people of the world. The day will be filled with hands-on activities. Each participant will receive a “Food, Land, & People” curriculum guide, a comprehensive 900 hundred page curriculum filled with activities for PreK – 12th grade educators
