15 Feb 2008- Ms. Gibson’s students at Madeira Beach Middle School have been taking inventory of the environmental issues at their school and in their community. Things they have noticed include a heavy presence of Brazilian peppers, marine debris like monofilament fishing lines, and the health of the salt marsh on site. They plan to investigate these issues further.
